Few Quick Reminders Searching For Air Flights Cheap

Friday 28 December 2007 @ 12:16 am

There are many of us who like to travel to various places for our holidays. Still others of us have to travel to another country or far away state for business purposes. At these modern times we tend to look for air flights that can get us to our destination quickly. To help in this affair we can purchase regular costing airline tickets or we can look for air flights cheap tickets. Most people today are looking for a deal, the best deal.

These inexpensive tickets can be found with many of the major airline carriers and with the low cost airlines. The main point that you need to decide on is the maximum amount that you are conformable paying. This factor joined with your time spent in your destination place can make your choice of air flights cheap tickets easier. Now lets look at a few factors for you to think about or keep in your mind when looking for tickets.

To find these air flights cheap tickets and quick departure days you can contact your local travel agent or you can check the assorted air flights on the internet. Knowing how most of us work today, I would have to say looking on line has great benefits. While you may be engulfed by the massive sum of air flights to your destination point you can narrow this search field considerably.

When you have selected at least five or six air flights that you feel will give you a good deal, the next point to see about is their various fees and other costs that you may encounter. Air flights cheap by and large mean that you will have to do some shopping around for a good deal.

It is recommended, of course if you have, time to set a deadline dead to buy your tickets. Because of supply and demand online airline tickets can change on a daily basis. So to get a good deal you must be willing to wait.

Also, keep in mind the time of year that you are traveling. The reasoning is again supply and demand. For instance if you wanted to travel to San Diego in June the online ticket pricing wouldn’t have as much fluctuation compared to traveling in November.

Another tip is to watch for special deals that airlines will have. You will typically see these deals in the off season depending on the destination. Again, the airlines want to fill the seats, so if they have to set a one time special price for a particular flight they have no problems doing so.

Even though this looking about can take some time you will acquire an idea about the assorted price ranges that are available for the different travel sectors. You will also see the departure dates and times that are there for each of these cheap air flights. These pieces of information will allow you to select the best airline for your vacation or business trip.

When you have found where you can get air flights cheap double check and make sure there is seating room available on the days that you want to leave and arrive back home. I know this sounds like a no brainer, but sometimes it is often overlooked. Once these dates have been arranged to your satisfaction you can make your travel reservations. Again, double check to make sure all the information is correct.

Searching for air flights these days is often done so haphazardly. The above tips are often times just friendly reminders to all who are running around in this fast paced world. Having arranged everything just the way that you want all that needs to be said is have a great time.

Looking For The Lowest Airfares Anywhere?

Thursday 27 December 2007 @ 11:36 pm

By: Auckland Semper Jr

Yes I know, you dont have to tell me how expensive airline tickets can get. Just getting there can really take up a huge portion of any budget. I for one sometimes get frustrated trying to find something reasonable when I want to travel, not when there are only airfare sales going on. Never fear though, I am about to layout a couple things you can do to keep more of that money in your pocket.

Airlines change their prices regularly to try and have a full airplane at departure time. Most will lower their airfares on Tuesday or Wednesdays about 21 days before departure. A good rule of thumb is to book and purchase your ticket for travel on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for travel at late or off-peak hours of flying ( like redeye flights).

If you decide to be a little more persistent and keep looking out for lower airfares even after you bought your airline ticket, then there are some airlines that will either refund the difference or issue a voucher as credit for the difference. Keeping in mind that some airlines have a buy it and keep it policy, you may get further discounts from those airlines that are willing to work with you even after you have bought your tickets. Some airlines will charge a fee for any kind of change in your tickets so make sure that the savings will cover these costs as well. Sign up for emails at : Airfarewatchdog.com if you really want to keep track of airline ticket prices.

When you book your trips, a seven day stay including the weekend, will get you the most bargain airline tickets whether there is a sale or not. Also, a flight to a smaller, less trafficking airport nearby can keep the bargain airfares in sight.

Now its time to talk about codeshare flights. These are flights that one airline will book on another airline for the part of the trip it cannot serve. These flights are agreed upon between the two or more airlines involved and can save you a ton of money. You get to share frequent flyer miles and have them credited towards your account to be used towards free tickets and other rewards.

You can get a list of the codeshare partners and check each individual airline for flights and compare prices on each with codeshare flights involved. In most cases, you will actually find that one partner will actually have the same flights for lower airfares if you buy it from them than from another one of the other partner airlines. Even if one the partners offer a sale to somewhere it does not fly to, you can buy that low airfare and fly on one of the other partner airlines that does fly there.

You can apply all the above tips when researching airfares online at some of the more popular booking sites online such as priceline.com or Orbitz.com.

Budget Airline Oasis HK Launches Vancouver Route

Thursday 27 December 2007 @ 11:31 pm

By: Tony C.F. Cheung

After emerging as the world’s pioneering long-haul, low-cost airline with the launch of its Hong Kong-London route last October, Oasis Hong Kong has launched today its new long-haul route.

Oasis’ 12-hour, non-stop flight from Hong Kong International Airport will bring travelers to Vancouver six days a week.

To service their passengers going to Canada, Oasis Hong Kong has purchased three additional Boeing 747-400s from All Nippon Airways (ANA), and have expanded their in-flight resources by 200 cockpit and cabin crew members.

Stephen Miller, chief executive officer for Oasis Hong Kong Airlines said in the airline’s press release: “Vancouver is very appealing to Hong Kong people as both a business and leisure destination, and there is a high demand for flights to Vancouver out of Hong Kong. We are pleased to be able to respond to our consumer’s needs by offering this super value service.”

The great value offered by Oasis is easily judged by the price of their economy class return tickets, starting at as little as HK$3,980 (US$509) and HK$18,000 ($2,303) return for business class.

Ticket prices are available via their website and are nearly 50 percent cheaper than that offered by Oasis’ direct competitor.

In addition, for at least one year, the airline also guarantees that it will provide 10 percent of economy class seats on every flight at HK$1,990 ($255) one way.

The Vancouver route is expected to follow the success story of Oasis’ first international destination London, with tickets starting at HK$1,000 ($128) one way. To date, the budget airline has flown more than 100,000 passengers on that route.

Miller said the response from customers on the London flights had been overwhelmingly positive.

“We’ve had tremendous feedback from our customers. The people of Hong Kong have really embraced us, for whom we are grateful,” he said.

“The compliments we have received, especially from our business travelers, have given us the encouragement to now extend the same superior product and service experience to the much awaited Vancouver route.”

Now in operation for eight months, Oasis Hong Kong is quickly gaining nods from global travelers by providing premium services that are unusual in budget airlines, such as online check-in, free hot meals and personal in-flight entertainment.

On the Internet, fans call Oasis Hong Kong “a very solid airline with much better service than short-haul budget airlines”, praise its “fantastic value” and “friendly cabin crew”, while a travel blog dubs it “the best travel newcomer of 2006″.

Over the next five years and with a projected 25 aircraft, Oasis Hong Kong plans to fly to more leading aviation hubs in Europe and North America, including Chicago and San Francisco in the United States, as well as Milan and Berlin.

It seems the world is becoming a bit more accessible in an amazingly affordable way.

Launched in Hong Kong on 26 October 2006, Oasis Hong Kong Airlines pioneers a fresh approach to flying. We are now flying daily between Hong Kong, London and Vancouver. For more information visit www.oasishongkong.com
